An eye for an eye points followers
to paths of assault and treason
until some at least are blind and lame --
and have learned to better play those games,
or leave them.

Seeing they aren't free from fault,
others strive to correct themselves
instead of stoning and enslaving;
but few are chosen for this role
to any great effect, though it be believed
this is the higher calling.
