Voice
Usha Kishore

From the other side of
time, a voice echoes in
my ears, resonant with
promises of a life to come –
You are the voice of the air…

From twilight to twilight,
a voice burns in my heart -
a third eye opens, fiery
embers flow in my veins–
You are the voice of the fire…

From the lightning’s edge,
a voice melts into my soul;
luminous clouds shed their
colour into my tears –
You are the voice of the water…

From the darkness of
the night, a voice caresses
me in my sleep, it flowers
in my dreams –
You are the voice of the earth…

From the womb of the
universe, a voice rings
in dark eternity, it
vibrates in my pulses –
You are the voice of the sky…
