Changming Yuan emigrated out of China in 1989. Since he obtained his PhD from the University of Saskatchewan in 1996, he has been working and living in Vancouver as a college English tutor. His poems appear in Byline, Chaffin, Other Voices, Prairie Journal, Pulsar, Quills Canadian Poetry and many others across North America and U.K.
