To the serenade of birds at morning dawn
Engulfed is your shadow on my window
With colours variant and vibrant

What is it that brings with you
a feeling of endurance
as the light of the leaves pass through
My mind’s eye

Your bed covered with the rainbow
in every tree
Silence on the line
as I walk along your cradle
watching you emanate such
graceful beauty
It is beyond my ken
To realize how vivid
God’s conception has been
in your making

And as I retreat
I appeal to the setting sun
To bring me back again tomorrow
To slip myself again
in the streaks of your splendor.
