A Narrow Line Between Humdrum And Heaven
Sandeep

Its pleasing to hear someone laugh aloud only when
You yourself are in a good mood or plain text on paper at least.
Else you feel you are derided up by the whole world alike.
It is your state that allows you to judge the ones around you
Even a note of calmness played on a string exasperates you
When you are having a troubled mind, it is all pale to you then.
The other way around, when you are cheered up and in light
Hearing someone weep, you go to console and share grief.

It is easier to paint black on a white canvas than to whiten a black one
Thus is to wet the red cheeks with tears is not that difficult
But to wipe off tears, it requires perseverance and open mind
Often men engage themselves in doing easier things to be done.
It is hard to hope others to do tough things for your gain
But if everyone thinks in the same manner, none is comforted.
It is always nice to spare a thought for the ones who toiled for others
If not becoming like those chosen ones, at least admiring them is worthy.

Then when the whole lot get into doing those easier jobs every time
Like spraying black paint over the white canvas, or even red colour
May be some others may be praising the painter for his skill of dirtying.
But that piece of work will not remain eternal, nothing ignoble will stand
To stand the test of times, it needs to be something sacrificial
And the scapegoat should be the butcher himself, though a rarity
Rare acts of purity stand out among frequented sins in a bunch
Though it is a narrow line that separates them and is often invisible
