Children fear not storms
Gangadharan Koothali

Children fear not storms
Bamboo bushes growing
Gorges feeding pack of tigers
On the river banks
Vastness of outer terrain
Children play around moms
Storms wake up
Soar up from dales
Up above hills and mountains
And fly singing aloud
Moles remain unaffected
Yester night we spoke about breezes
Then about winds carrying clouds
And then about storms;
We hushed softly about sea
Then about waves
And then about surfs
Leading to Tsunamis
In words possessed of springs of music
And eyes calm with eternity of slumber
Children fear not
They blow the winds
Kiss the storms
Maternal caramel as sweet as ever
And eyes singing starry songs
Doves pecking grains fear storms
Lions chasing deer, too
Whales in the blue seas fear a wind
Children fear not storms
Silently rocks of memories passed by this way
With pregnant fragrance of flowers
Within it bloomed flowers of desert
Children were playing on imaginations
And swimming in rivers of eternal curiosity
They might learn words
That will tremble twigs of storms.
