A painting

Mary Annie

I said good night in colours
in the brights of pink and blues and greens.

No soft shades for the night
    the night has fragrant colors.

    yellow purple and orange
    take off from my mind
    fantasies my day's treasures .

i speak in hushed tones of silver
    as the dawn breaks
the gold i reserve for silence.

The browns speak to me in the mornings
the bright of the sun leaves me
    enlightened full of pleasure.

I dress in greys for the day
and add the whites for leisure.

    The borders and the frills
    comes in wild wild shades
    they spin the dreams
    on silken threads
    enticicing.

    The cool breeze remain colorless
like the water to quench my thirst.

The day speaks to me in parrot green
    bright vivid and spalshing
    my smiles cool refreshing.

    i don't know how i'd endure
    my life without colors.

    I dab them as perfume
    as i paint my life
    on life's long canvas
    and wait for the day
    to be drowned in colors.
