Water frame

Abbas Panakkal

    A clumsy camera
    made a room for
    an old arm chair and
    came to see arranged shots.

    Wild smartness of
    the morning light
    focused over late awakening.

    Two children,
    floated over an empty glass,
were playing on the debris of the light.

    Burning sharpness
    of mid-day wounded all close-ups.

    Mourning memories of
    dwarf shadows
    alleviated in wide over
    view of long evening shades.

    Lit lanterns
    lamented over dusky time.

    High angle shots
    crossed black wick flames.

    Paid females
    paused as directed,
    with unfading familiarities.

    Shadows floated on
    the water were more beautiful.

    The camera focused on
    artistic values of water shadows.

    Colourful pleasure of
    Shadows slapped on face.

    Rolling study cam-coder
    took an endeavor to read
    the identity of watermarks.
