Letter from Chief Editor

The last issue of www.thanalonline.com was published in October 2011. Half a year has elapsed after it. I was not doing well and had to undergo an open-heart bypass surgery in November, 2011.

I am glad that the new issue is released with a special feature: Farideh Hassan Zadeh( Mostafavi) is my Guest Editor and she is bringing out the special feature. It is a bird’s eye view of the rich Iranian poetry. In fact, it is a comprehensive survey of the ancient, medieval and modern Iranian poetry. I on behalf of my readers, thank her sincerely. I extend my gratitude to all translators who have cooperated in the preparation of the special feature.

This time, I do not go deep into politics or social and economic matters. I wish you all a happy reading of the ezine
